Meet our 2025
Queen Candidates

Savana Caniglia-Hatfield
My name is Savana Caniglia-Hatfield, i am 16 years old and I’m a proud junior at Westside High School. I’m deeply passionate about making a difference, which is why I’m actively involved in Peer Modeling and Unified. Through these groups, I work closely with kids with special needs, helping them learn important life skills like tying their shoes and writing emails, all while forming meaningful friendships with them along the way. Community and tradition run deep in my family. I come from a proud lineage of Santa Lucia members, including my great-grandparents Joe and Larri Caniglia, my Nonnù John Caniglia Sr., my uncle and godfather Patrick Caniglia, and my great-aunt and godmother Lynda Caniglia-Turnquist, along with other family members. Continuing this legacy means the world to me. I also have cousins who’ve been crowned Queen, like Katelyn Dethlefs, Alyssa Caniglia-Tyrnquist, Vivian Caniglia, and Angela Losole Cherek. and I was even the flower girl for Katelyn! As for my future, after high school I plan to attend UNO or another college close to home. My dream is to study criminal psychology, diving into the minds of criminals to uncover the motives behind their actions—a field that has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. My flower girl is 7 year-old, Brooke Vlcek. On behalf of my mother Cortney Caniglia-Desler, both of my fathers Eric Desler and Eric Hatfield, and brother Logan Desler, thank you for helping me support, honor, and continue my family’s traditions, serve my community, and chase my dreams!

Gianna Panebianco
Hi I’m Gianna Panebianco, I’m 15 years old and in my freshman year at Elkhorn High School. I find myself happiest when I am performing for our schools Varsity show choir, rehearsing for the school musical, competing with speech team, and enrolled in art enrichment classes. I also love spending time with my family, extended family, and friends!
I have been attending Santa Lucia since I was a baby and was even a flower girl twice. Once for my aunt Gina (Pane) Sanford, and again for my cousin Gina Troia. My Dad and Nonno have been coming since they were kids as well. I’m so excited to run for queen this year with my little sister, Sofia Panebianco, as my flower girl! I love this festival so much, for all of the traditions, community, music, and of course, the food!

Gianna Rodriguez

Gianna has been to the Santa Lucia Festival since she could walk and can’t remember her life without going every summer. Gianna is the daughter of Brenda Digiacomo and Rob Rodriguez. The granddaughter of Mary and Yano Digiacomo. And great granddaughter of Mary Agnes Caniglia and Joseph Caniglia. Gianna’s flower girl is Charlie Robertson.
